Swimming at The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Centre

posted 22 Sep 2020, 12:55 by Bernard Purdy

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre is currently running 2 types of swimming session.

The first is Swimming for Fitness, which is laned swimming in extra wide lanes.

The second is Adult and Child, which is not laned.

Both types of session have to be booked either through a special app, or through the GLL web site.

The one hour sessions are split into ten-minute starting times to smooth the flow into the pool.

Swimmers enter the pool via the door by the studio pool as there is a one way system in use around the pool and bathers are required to arrive in their swimming gear. They have to remove outer clothing and store it in bags poolside. The lockers are not available.

And then leave via the emergency exit at the bottom of the stairs. After their swim they can use the showers and the cubicles.

Disabled swimmers who need assistance can use the Adult and Child sessions and can use the disabled changing room but should check beforehand.
